The Rolling Stones - Jumpin’ Jack Flash
I grew up on the Stones. You know those albums your parents played in the car on long drives? My parents played The Rolling Stones, Jackson Browne, Bruce Springsteen, and (rather embarrassingly) Bryan Adams. There was also some Elvis sprinkled in there.
40 Licks is one of my favorite albums, and I know that probably makes me a pariah among Rolling Stones supporters (Best Of albums being frowned upon in any musical circle), but I don’t care. It’s just so good. Every time I put it on and Street Fighting Man starts playing, I know I’m in for an amazing few hours. If it helps redeem me slightly, I also love Let It Bleed and Between The Buttons.
